Bianca Ojukwu Biography: Early life and education

Bianca Ojukwu was born on 5 August 1968 in Ngwo, Enugu State, Nigeria. She is the sixth child of Christian Onoh, a former governor of Anambra State, and Carol Onoh, a college principal. She attended Ackworth School in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, England, for her secondary education. She then went on to study Politics, Economics, and Law at the University of Buckingham, but left after her first year to study Law at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1992.

Pageantry career

In 1988, Bianca Ojukwu won the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant. She then went on to win the Miss Africa pageant in 1989, and the Miss Intercontinental pageant in 1990. She was the first African woman to win the Miss Intercontinental pageant.

Political career

After her pageant career, Bianca Ojukwu became involved in politics. She served as a presidential advisor to Olusegun Obasanjo from 1999 to 2003. In 2003, she was appointed Nigeria's ambassador to Ghana. She served in this position until 2005. In 2012, she was appointed Nigeria's ambassador to Spain. She is currently the longest-serving female ambassador in Nigeria's history.

Bianca Ojukwu married Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the former president of Biafra, in 1994. They had no children together. Ojukwu died in 2011.
